How we look after every order

Tumbite compared with other delivery apps

How much each app keeps from the restaurant, what the customer pays, and what the driver gets. With public numbers, so everyone can decide.

How it works

We believe everyone should be able to compare before choosing. That’s why we publish what Tumbite charges next to what DoorDash and Uber Eats publish on their own pages.

To the restaurant, per delivery order: Tumbite charges 7.5% on the Starter plan, 12.5% on Growth, and 15% on Elite. DoorDash publishes 15% (Basic), 25% (Plus), and 30% (Premier). Uber Eats publishes 20% (Lite, from 15% in some cities), 25% (Plus), and 30% (Premium).

An example with a $30 food order: with Tumbite Starter the restaurant receives $27.75; with DoorDash Basic, $25.50; with Uber Eats Lite, $24.00. On higher plans the gap grows: $26.25 with Tumbite Growth versus $22.50 with DoorDash Plus or Uber Eats Plus.

To the customer: Tumbite charges delivery from $3.99 (up 50 cents per kilometer after the first 3, capped at $7.99) and a service fee of 5% of the order, with a $1.99 minimum and a $4.99 maximum. Orders under $10 add a $2 small order fee. DoorDash publishes a service fee of 15% of the order in several cities and a variable one elsewhere, plus a delivery fee that depends on the restaurant. Uber Eats publishes a service fee that is a percentage of the order with a minimum and maximum by region, plus a delivery fee that changes with the area and available drivers.

To the driver: on Tumbite every delivery pays at least $5, and the tip is 100% theirs and is never used to reach that minimum. DoorDash publishes base pay per offer of $2 to $10+, and that drivers keep 100% of tips.

Steps

  1. Restaurants: in your dashboard, under “Earnings,” you see this comparison worked out with your own sales from the last 30 days.
  2. Customers: on Tumbite you see the full breakdown before paying (food, delivery, service, tip), with no surprises at the end.
  3. Drivers: before accepting each offer you see what you earn, tip included.

DoorDash and Uber Eats figures are the ones they publish on their official pricing and help pages, checked in October 2026; they may change and vary by city. Tumbite figures are the ones currently in the app.
