Ordering

Your order alerts and how to call the driver without sharing your numberWe let you know when the driver is 5 minutes away, when to come out (if you chose hand delivery) and when they’re at your door, also by SMS. And you can call them with a masked number.Your orders: history, receipt and reorderIn the Orders tab you see each order with its status and total, open the full receipt and order the same again with one tap.Favorites: save your restaurantsTap a restaurant’s heart to save it to Favorites and find it instantly next time.Saved addresses and delivery instructionsSave home, work or wherever you order often, with instructions for the driver, and pick them with one tap in the cart.Coupons and promotionsEnter a code in the cart and the discount applies before you pay. Current promotions show under “Today’s deals” on the home screen.Reporting a problem with your orderSomething missing, cold, late: tell us what happened in two taps. If an item was missing, you mark which one and, when enabled, only that value is refunded.Pay on delivery: cash or a transfer to the driverIn cities where it’s active, you can choose to pay when your order arrives: in cash to the driver, or with a transfer to the account they have published. Your order is confirmed instantly, no card needed.Pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay (coming soon)Today you pay with your card inside the app. Soon, on the same payment screen, Apple Pay (iPhone) or Google Pay (Android and Chrome) will show up if your phone has it set up. One tap and done. The home screen: what’s there and what each thing doesLike the big delivery apps: at the top the logo, your greeting, the notifications bell and the gifts coupon. Then the search bar, the eight services in order (Food works today), your gifts or the deals, restaurants near you and the bottom bar.Searching Tumbite: restaurants, dishes, and cuisinesTap the search bar on the home screen and type what you’re craving. As you type, Tumbite searches your city and shows matching restaurants and dishes, open ones first. The bell and the coupon: your notifications and your giftsThe bell on the home screen shows what’s happening with your account right now: active orders, gifts in progress, and upcoming openings in your city. The coupon opens your gifts directly.Tumbite services: what’s here today and what’s comingThe home screen shows eight services in this order: Food, Moto, Car, Delivery, Grocery, Pharmacy, Liquor, and More. Food works today; the others have their own screen and tell you, with a discreet strip, that they’re under construction. Why don’t I see restaurants? What if the app won’t finish opening? The app always tells you what’s going on: no restaurants in your area yet, we’re not in your city yet, or the connection failed. And if it can’t verify your session, it lets you try again without losing your account.Pick up in store, change the address, and tip after deliveryThree things you can do with your order: pick it up yourself with no delivery fee, change the address before the driver leaves (seeing the new total), and leave an extra tip after delivery.Choose size and extras when orderingIf an item has options, when you add it you choose the size, extras or whatever the restaurant offers, and see what each adds.If the restaurant is out of an item in your orderNothing gets canceled outright: you decide whether to remove it (we refund that part) or cancel the whole order.Leave at door or hand it to me: you chooseWhen you order, you say whether to leave it at your door or hand it to you. The driver sees it and acts accordingly.Chat with your driverFrom the moment your order has a driver until it arrives, you can message them from the app, without sharing your number. When your order arrives: the estimate and the latest arrival timeYou see two times: in how many minutes it arrives and the latest arrival time. And we tell you when the driver is a minute away and at your door. How to place your first orderPick a nearby restaurant, build your cart, and pay with a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.Track your order liveConfirmed, in the kitchen, on the way, and delivered, with your driver on the map.Cancel an order and get your money backUntil the restaurant accepts it, you cancel in one tap and get a full refund. And if the restaurant doesn’t answer, we cancel it for you.My account: your orders, cards, and detailsAll your orders and their status, the cards you saved, and your details, in one place in the app.Gifts: birthday, punch card, and win-backRestaurants reward you for coming back. Gifts show up in your cart on their own.Rate the food and the driverTwo separate ratings. If the food was late, it’s not the driver’s fault.

For restaurants

Your customers’ reviews and how to replyUnder Reviews you see what each customer rated and wrote, and you reply publicly. The customer sees your reply in their order.Holidays and closuresMark the days you don’t open (Christmas, vacation, repairs) and on that day your restaurant shows as closed even within your hours.Your team: managers and staffAdd the people at your restaurant with their own account and role. Each one signs in to the panel and the app without sharing your password.Your menu orderDecide the order customers see your categories and items: with the up and down arrows under Menu. Why does my store show as not receiving orders? If your Tumbite app or panel doesn’t check in for 5 minutes, your store stops receiving orders so no customer waits for nothing. It comes back on its own as soon as you open it again. The restaurant app: orders, timing, the pickup code, and your menuFrom the counter phone or tablet: the alarm tells you about every new order, you accept it with its prep time, follow each one in the kitchen, show the code to the driver, and edit your menu, with your sales for today, the week, and the month.Ready to open: what you need before taking ordersBefore turning on “Taking orders,” your restaurant needs a phone number, an address with a pin, hours, and at least one dish with a price. The checklist tells you what’s missing. The suggested time when accepting, and “Busy kitchen”When you accept an order, the first button (in green) is the suggested time: your kitchen’s real average. If you’re slammed, “Busy kitchen” adds 10 or 20 minutes to every new order. If a payout to your bank failsIf the bank rejects a deposit, we let you know in the app and by email, and the money stays in your Tumbite balance. Check your bank details under “Wallet” and withdraw again.Pickup orders and 21+ itemsA pickup order has no driver: you hand it over at the counter with the customer’s PIN and pay only a 5% commission. 21+ items are flagged in the menu and are only handed over in person with an ID check.Your hours: open and close on their ownSet your shifts per day and Tumbite opens and closes your restaurant at those times. Outside of them customers see when you open.Item options: size, extras, no onionsEach item can have option groups: the customer chooses when ordering and the price adds up automatically. If you’re out of an item or need more timeFlag the item you’re out of and the customer decides in their app; and if you’re running late, add minutes before the driver leaves.Your counter: see the driver coming, the QR code and the waitOn your screen you see who’s coming for each order, how many minutes away they are, when they arrived and how long they wait. Next to each ready order there’s a QR code so the driver confirms it’s theirs. If their photo waits more than 2 minutes, the alarm sounds.Put your restaurant on TumbiteCreate your account, complete your profile, and wait for approval. No lock-in contracts.Your menu: items, prices, and photosEvery item in English and Spanish, with its price, category, and photo.Mark an item as sold outOut of chicken? For drivers

Your location with the screen offWhile you’re online, Tumbite keeps sending your position even if you lock the phone or open the map: the customer and the restaurant see where you are without you coming back to the app.Deliveries with an age checkIf the order has items for people over 21, you hand it over in person, check the ID and note the ID type, its last four digits and the name of the person receiving.Orders collected in person and your balance for feesIn cities where it’s active, some orders are paid on delivery: the customer pays you in cash or by transfer, you pay for the food at the counter, and Tumbite’s fee comes out of a balance you top up in advance. When an offer reaches you and how you pick up with the codeOffers reach you so you arrive when the food is ready, not before. At the restaurant you scan the code on their screen and take the photo: the order goes out on its own.If you can’t continue with an order or the customer isn’t thereBefore pickup you can release the order with a reason, no penalty. At the door, if the customer isn’t there, there’s a 5-minute protocol.Start deliveringCreate your account, go online when you want, and accept only what works for you.Verify your identityYour ID and a photo of your face, right from the app. It’s what gives customers peace of mind when they open the door.Offers: see what you earn before you acceptYou see the pay, the distance, and the pickup spot. Declining never counts against you.My ratings: what customers see about youUnder Profile → “My ratings” you see your customer rating, your acceptance, completion, and on-time rates, and how many deliveries you have. With the big apps’ reference next to each.Earnings breakdown: base pay, bonuses, and tipsUnder Earnings you see, by day, week, or month, how much was base pay, how much bonuses, and how much tips, and every order with its breakdown. A tip that arrives after delivery is added there too.The bell and pause: your notifications and when not to receive offersThe bell shows your real notifications from the last seven days: order ready, cancellations, address changes, tips, check-in photo. And with “Pause offers” you stay online without receiving offers.“I’m at the restaurant”, “order isn’t ready”, and help with the orderThe active order has three new buttons: to say you arrived at the restaurant, to record that the order isn’t ready, and to get help with clear reasons or call emergency services.Levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and DiamondHigher levels see bigger orders first. You level up with deliveries and good ratings.Your wallet: what you earn and how you cash outLike a banking app: your balance, earnings, tips, and every movement with its order. Cash out to your bank whenever you want.

How we look after every order

If you lose signal when deliveringThe delivery photo (or “Handed to the customer”) is saved on your phone and sent on its own when the signal is back. Don’t redo it.Bonus for taking an order others passed onIf three drivers decline or let an order expire, it’s offered to everyone at once with 1 dollar extra. Whoever delivers it gets it.Call the customer without seeing their number (or showing yours)On the way, tap “Call the customer (masked number)”: we call you and connect you with the customer. You both see Tumbite’s number. If a payout to your bank failsIf the bank rejects a deposit, we let you know in the app and by email, and the money stays in your Tumbite balance. Check your bank details under “Wallet” and withdraw again. Background check with Checkr and the identity check photoLike the big platforms: we check criminal records and driving history with a provider, and every so often we ask for a photo of your face before you go online. Two orders in one trip and the age checkIf you already have an order you haven’t picked up and another comes in from the same restaurant with a nearby delivery, we offer it to you for the same trip. Orders with 21+ items are handed over in person only, with an ID check. How we know you reached the door (and what to do if GPS fails)The deliver button appears once GPS confirms you’re at the address. If a building or garage throws it off, request the exception and support authorizes you.Photo at pickup, delivery at the doorEvery order leaves two photos: the closed order as it leaves the restaurant, confirmed by the restaurant, and the delivery at the door.An order from start to finishWhat happens from the moment the customer pays until the food reaches the door, who does what at each step, and how the money is split. The Manager: no order gets forgottenAn automatic watcher follows every order from payment to the door, and steps in only when something runs late. The traffic light on every orderGreen, yellow, or red: at a glance you know which order is fine and which one needs attention.Verified restaurants and driversEvery restaurant is a real business and every driver is who they say they are. A person on our team checks it.Tumbite compared with other delivery appsHow much each app keeps from the restaurant, what the customer pays, and what the driver gets. With public numbers, so everyone can decide.
